July 2023 Newsletter

Dear Parents/Carers,

As we move into the last month of the pre-school year I just want to say ‘thank you’ to all our families and children for your continued support throughout our time together. I wish all our leavers and their families the very best for the future, if you are passing please pop in to say hello, we would love to see you – and to our returning families – we very much look forward to seeing you all when we return on Monday, 4th September for the Autumn Term. Meanwhile we still have a couple of dates for your diaries:-

Picnic in the park

We hope you will join us on our trip to Winton Recreation Ground on Thursday, 20th July – we are setting off straight after the children have been picked up at 12noon and meeting outside the café on the field for a picnic. There is a car park on Maxwell Road but you can also park on the roads surrounding the recreation ground. Please note that there is no lunch club or afternoon session on that day – please speak to Christine about swapping a session if your child normally attends on a Thursday afternoon.

Leaver Celebration

Our leavers’ celebration will take place on the last day of term, Friday 21st July. The party for our leavers starts at 9.00am and parents are invited to return at 11.15am for a leavers’ ceremony when children will be presented with their special learning journey! Party food will be provided by us on the day. If your child is leaving and does not normally attend on a Friday then you are welcome to swap a session for that day or pay the unfunded session fee of £21. Please note that there is no lunch club on that day. If your child is returning in September and normally attends on a Friday you are welcome to swap this session for another day. Crescent View Pre School

We are very excited that Crescent View Preschool will be opening on Monday 4th September 2023 in the Henry Brown Community Centre in Cunningham Crescent, West Howe. We are very pleased that there has been a lot of interest and spaces are filling up. We will be offering an ‘Open Week’ for potential families to pop by and play from 11.00am-2.00pm on Tuesday 5th, Wednesday 6th and Friday 8th September. Please feel free to share this information with friends and family and to pop in if you are interested.

Summer Term Dates

A reminder of our term dates:-

We break up for Summer Holidays on Friday, 21st July 2023

We return on Monday, 4th September 2023.

Autumn Half Term holiday is from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th October 2023

The last day of the Autumn Term is on Friday 15th December 2023
