June 2022 Newsletter

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to the second half of the Summer term - let’s all hope for some lovely weather! We have some exciting experiences planned for the children during this half term and we will keep you informed about these via email so please check your inbox regularly.

Firstly, thank you to all our parents who came along to our Platinum Jubilee Party. It was so lovely to have you all in our setting and the children were so excited to share this occasion with you. A big ‘thank you’ to Hana’s mummy for the beautiful cakes she made for us all!

Library visit 20/27th June

We have Charminster librarians coming to visit us later this month to share their passion for books and promote storytelling and story sharing with the children. We will hold this in our outside area and we are sure that the children will find this a fun and exciting experience.

Afternoon Sessions

We are very pleased with the popularity of our current new afternoon sessions on a Tuesday and Wednesday. The Early Education Funding (EEF) Entitlement can be used towards these sessions. Please enquire if you have any questions. Your children may then have the opportunity to stay with us from 9am to 3pm if you wish.

We will continue these sessions into September for those who would like them and our opening hours will shortly be advertised on our Website and Facebook pages – Priory View Pre-School.

Transition to school meetings

Parents of our school leavers have all signed their child’s transfer record forms and we will be having an informal meeting with their new teachers in the next few days to exchange information about each child.

Moors Valley Trip

Just to remind you that our trip to Moors Valley will be held on Thursday, 7th July and we will be writing to you separately to let you know about all the arrangements for our

exciting visit.

Leavers Celebration

Arrangements are being made for our leavers’ celebration which will be held on the last day of term and more details will follow in our July newsletter.

A reminder about our September sessions – we will be contacting our returning parents soon to see what sessions they would like as they are all filling up quite quickly.

08:30 - 09:00 - Breakfast Club - £3

09:00 - 12:00 - Morning Session - £3 additional charge or £18 unfunded fee

02:00 - 12:45 - Lunch Club - £4

12:45 - 15:45 - Afternoon Session - £3 additional charge or £18 unfunded fee

09:00 - 15:45 - All Day Session - £10 additional charge or £40 unfunded fee

08:30 - 15:45 - All Day Session with Breakfast Club - £13 additional charge or £43 unfunded fee

Summer Term Holiday Dates

A reminder of our term dates:

We break up for Summer Holidays on Friday, 22nd July.

We return on Monday, 5th September 2022.

Autumn Half Term holiday is from 24th to 30th October 2022

The last day of the Autumn Term is on Friday, 16th December 2022
