June 2023 Newsletter

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back to the second half of the Summer term - let’s all hope for some lovely weather! We have some exciting experiences planned for the children during this half term and we will keep you informed about these via email so please check your inbox regularly.

Firstly, thank you to all our parents who supported our ‘Paw Patrol on a Stroll’ Sponsored walk to raise money for The Dogs Trust. It was such a lovely time together and the children were so excited to share this occasion with you.

We have raised a huge amount to help an organisation very close to all our hearts, enabling dogs and puppies to find their ‘Forever Homes’ with caring families.

Transition to school meetings

Parents of our school leavers have almost all signed their child’s transfer record forms and Vicky and Delphine will be having an informal meeting with their new teachers in the next few days to exchange information about each child. This is a lovely occasion and really helps our children in their journey to ‘big school’.

Picnic in the park

Our trip to Winton Recreation Ground will take place on Thursday, 20th July and we have emailed you all separately to let you know about all the arrangements for our exciting visit.

Leaver Celebration

Arrangements are being made for our leavers’ celebration which will be held on the last day of term Friday 21st July and more details will follow in our July newsletter.

Ofsted

On Thursday 4th May 2023, we had our OFSTED inspection at Priory View. We would like to thank all our parents and carers for your kind and continued support and will inform you of the outcome as soon as we are able to (hopefully any day now). The Priory View staff team were just amazing during a long, intense day.

Crescent View Pre School

We are very OFSTED have now officially registered Crescent View Preschool to open w/c Monday 4th September 2023 in the West Howe area. We are very pleased that there has been a lot of interest and spaces are filling up. We will be offering an ‘Open Week’ for potential families to pop by and play. Please see Christine for details of timings for this, if you are interested.

Curiosity and Wonder – Come and Visit us

We would like to offer yourselves (if you haven’t yet had the chance to pop in) and other family members the opportunity to come into the Preschool and to spend some time with your child and their Key Person. These visits will be ongoing throughout the Summer Term.

This will enable you all to chat with your child’s Key Person and to work together with them to ensure that your child feels known, understood, cared about, and safe within our setting.

We will organise the visits by appointment, one family member per session.

Appointments will be from 9am to 9.30am Tuesdays to Fridays. You will be able to come in with your child at the beginning of the session.

Please see Christine so that we can make an appointment for you to visit.

We know that the children will love you all to visit.

Summer Term Dates

A reminder of our term dates:-

We break up for Summer Holidays on Friday, 21st July 2023

We return on Monday, 4th September 2023.

Autumn Half Term holiday is from Monday 23rd to Friday 27th October 2023

The last day of the Autumn Term is on Friday 15th December 2023
