Dear Parents/Carers,

We are now already halfway through the second half of the Summer term - let’s all hope for some continuous lovely weather! We have some exciting experiences planned for the children during this half term and we will continue to keep you informed about these via email so please check your inbox regularly

Transition to school meetings

Vicky, Delphine, Sarah, Laura and Dawn have attended informal transition meetings with 75% of our children’s Primary Schools and have met with their new teachers just before half term to exchange information about each child. This was a lovely occasion and really helps our children in their journey to ‘big school’. Vicky and the team have also completed ‘transfer’ information for all children leaving to attend school in September. All Early years providers have been expected to complete this information.

Preschool Changes

We would like to thank all our families for their wonderful recent support during potential changes that are taking place in September 2026.

Families who will be affected by the changes have now been contacted by email/ letter.

Please note that there are no changes to Crescent View Preschool.

Priory View is moving home (less than half a mile away and back to its original home) and Bayside Academy Primary School have loved the success of our little preschool (Bayside View Preschool) and their Reception class is now completely full for September. They are now taking Bayside View over, and we continue to work with them to support with a smooth transition. We have loved our time there, supporting the school to embark on a new Early Years provision.

Park outings

Our exciting park trips will take place on various dates within July for each Preschool and we have emailed you all separately to let you know about all the arrangements for our exciting visits. These are of course weather permitting.

Please note that each Preschool will be closed on the respective days as all staff are going on each outing. Parents/ Carers are expected to accompany their children.

Priory View Preschool – Wednesday 1st July – Redhill Park

Crescent View Preschool – Thursday 9th July – Redhill Park

Bayside View Preschool – Wednesday 15th July – Poole Park

Leaver celebration

Arrangements are being made for our leavers’ celebrations which will be held on the last day of term for each Preschool and more details will follow by email shortly.

A few important reminders to keep you children safe

Sunscreen - Please can you ensure that you apply sunscreen to your child before they attend preschool. Our children spend a lot of time outside and although we do have shaded outside areas, we need to ensure that every child is protected. This way you will know that your child is fully protected.

Supervision – Please can you ensure that you fully supervise your child/children whilst waiting for the Preschool doors to open. We have had reports that children are climbing walls/fencing and running across carparks which can be catastrophic.
