Book a tour to experience the magic of our preschool firsthand
The View Pre School Group
Dear Parents/Carers,
During hot spells of weather – please bring your child to preschool with a high-factor suncream already applied. Unfortunately we cannot apply full sunscreen due to potential reactions to allergens and the vast numbers of bottles of sun cream that we will then have on the premises. However, if your child is with us all day (9am to 3pm) we can top it up for you, so please place the sunscreen in your child’s bag after you have applied it.
Please also provide your child with a named sunhat and a named water bottle for extra hydration during hot periods. Please also ensure that your child wears closed toe shoes as we will continue to climb and play with large wooden resources outside.
It is very important that you let us know immediately of any change of address, telephone, email address or mobile contact details. We will be sending out weekly notices and any necessary correspondence to your email address. Please make sure we have your correct email address and that you check your emails regularly to ensure you don’t miss anything.
Summer Half Term Holiday - Monday 26th May - Friday 30th May
Last Day Of Summer Term - Friday 25th July
First Day Of Autumn Term - Monday 1st September
We are currently filling up fast with our childcare spaces for September 2025 so would like to offer first choice of hours to our current families who are staying with us. If you would like to change your hours or to increase them in September, please let us know as soon as possible so you are not left disappointed. Also, if you know of anyone who is looking to join us within the next academic year (September 2025 – July 2026) then please encourage them to get their child’s name down, even if its for next May! Once we are full, its for the whole year. Thank you.
We are very passionate about our cosy, homely provision and as a staff team we pride ourselves on offering our wonderful families a natural, authentic, safe, traditional preschool environment. Therefore, unlike many other preschool settings, we feel that in the current climate there is often an over reliance on sending every piece of artwork home with your child.
As a ‘Curiosity Approach Early Years provision, we believe that the process of creative art work is more important than the end product. The process enables our children to experiment, explore and create their own artwork without the pressure of the perfection of a final piece of art. It allows them to develop a love of learning and creative experimentation without any pressure.
We continue to record your children’s learning journey with us using photographs and ‘Wow Moments’ and their wonderful creative pieces of art are also preciously stored within their individual journals. You will receive these precious keepsakes of memories as your child takes their steps into ‘big school’. Our door is always open for any worries so please just ask for help if you need to.
We offer a range of real experiences and highly qualified staff at our Preschools with a view to placing our little ones at the heart of everything we do and as we look forward to the opening a 3rd Preschool in September in Poole, we just wanted to share some of the training and initiatives that our staff are involved in.
BCP have asked us to share the following information with you if your child is due to start school in September. It will help you to prepare your child for their new and exciting journey. Click here to view more
A huge thank you to all our families who have paid their final fees for the last financial year. If you still owe money please can you email/speak to Christine or Vicky to organise a payment plan going forward. We are happy to support you with this. We will unfortunately have to set a payment deadline with individual parents to settle their fees if they haven’t paid. If non payment continues then we will be unable to provide childcare to these families in the future. Christine has contacted families that owe money by email.
We appreciate your support with this so that going forward we can offer quality, fully funded childcare.
Please bring your child to preschool in clothing that is definitely not precious – they will get dirty but they are having fun and learning. As part of the Early Years Curriculum we have water play/ sand play and messy play out every day so please provide spare clothing (tops and bottoms) for your little ones.
Thank you,
Kind Regards
Vicky and The View Preschool Team
