The View Pre School Group
Dear Parents/Carers,
We have had an absolutely amazing few weeks back with our new ‘Big’ children.
The children are starting to arrive at pre-school with very happy faces, always eager to share their news with everyone, a few children even run in & forget to say goodbye to their parents. This makes us so proud of them all.
We have been having so much fun, exploring new toys & equipment, finding old favourites, water play, sand play, special story times and now showing curiosity for Autumn wonders.
It has been both worthwhile & rewarding getting to know our new children & their families.
Our Facebook pages are Priory View Pre-School, Crescent View Pre School and Bayside View Preschool where you will discover lots about our pre-school activities and events on there.
Every family will be allocated a key member of staff who will support your child throughout their pre-school journey. Families with new children will now have discovered their child’s Key Person.
The Key Person is linked to bonding and special relationships between staff and children. There will be various opportunities for parents and staff to meet throughout the year. If you are unsure who your child’s Key Person is then please speak to a member of staff who will introduce you.
“The role of the Key Person is important for both child and parent and it is an approach set out in the EYFS. The key person will respond to children’s needs and help them settle into a new environment, communication is paramount between parent and key person as these discussions hold key information about the child. A Key person will be a point of contact for parents.” (EYFS 2021)
Back in 2008, Vicky (Owner/Manager) had the wonderful opportunity to visit Denmark with several Bournemouth colleagues and to explore their ‘forest nursery provision’. Vicky was amazed by the use of natural resources to inspire the children and to make them curious, independent and excited to learn and she now has the opportunity to gradually introduce this special approach into both of our pre-school provisions.
Vicky, together with all the amazing staff teams have completed an Accreditation about a well-known approach to inspirational Early Years provision called ‘The Curiosity Approach’.
All the Preschool teams work passionately together to make amazing, inspirational play spaces within to our little pre-schools and Vicky has become a ‘Curiosity Approach Ambassador’ and has proudly been chosen to represent the Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and New Forest Area.
Vicky’s Facebook Page is Curiosity Approach Network BCP and New Forest South.
As well as managing the 3 Preschools, Vicky delivers fun ‘Curiosity Approach Discovery Sessions’ across BCP on a regular basis and anyone who has a passion for early years. She also trains local Colleges and Universities and has a wonderful staff team who supports her with this whilst ensuring each Early years provision runs effectively in her absence.

It is very important that you let us know immediately of any change of address, telephone, email address or mobile contact details.
We will be sending out weekly notices and any necessary correspondence to your email address. Please make sure we have your correct email address and that you check your emails regularly to ensure you don’t miss anything! A reminder to also check SPAM.
Also – Just a reminder: Could you also please write your child’s name in their coats and shoes, as many children have the same style, size and width-fitting shoes at this age and confusion can easily arise, especially during role-play situations.
As with other illnesses, adults and children who have symptoms should stay at home, avoid contact with others, and only return when well enough and have no temperature. Please always phone and inform us if your child is poorly.
Please take a moment to see if this is relevant to you – it may help.
