We will be sending out weekly notices and any necessary correspondence to your email address. Please make sure we have your correct email address and that you check your emails regularly to ensure you don’t miss anything!

Curiosity and wonder

We are so proud that during 2023, after lots of dedicated teamwork, Priory View Preschool received Accreditations in ‘The Curiosity Approach’ and ‘Hygge in the Early Years’.

We have also worked hard during that year to achieve Accredited status as a Communication Friendly Setting. These Accreditations will be applied to and continued within Crescent View Preschool too.

We are currently involved in achieving our ‘Healthy Movers Accreditation in both settings and Emotions Coaching at Crescent View.

When Vicky became the new owner of Priory View back in September 2021, she entered two competitions on behalf of the Pre-School and won an opportunity to embark on a Scandinavian Early Years Accredited Course called ‘Hygge in the Early Years’ (pronounced ‘Hew-guh’ and meaning ‘a feeling of wellbeing, cosiness and contentment’) and another Early years pedagogy called ‘The Curiosity Approach’ (promoting curiosity, awe and wonder in our children.)

Back in 2008, Vicky had the wonderful opportunity to visit Denmark with several Bournemouth colleagues and to explore their ‘forest nursery provision’. Vicky was amazed by the use of natural resources to inspire the children and to make them curious, independent and excited to learn and she now has had the opportunity to embed this special early years environment into both of our Pre-School provisions.

Our provisions are forever evolving as we continue this wonderful journey of ‘Curiosity and Wonder’.

Change of Contact Details

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you let us know immediately of any change of address, telephone, email address or mobile contact details. Could you also please write your child’s name in their coats and shoes, as many children have the same style, size and width-fitting shoes at this age and confusion can easily arise, especially during role-play situations.

Tax free childcare

Please take a moment to see if this is relevant to you – it may help.

We continue to adhere to current Government guidelines. If your child feels unwell please keep them at home. Please phone us and keep us updated. We will advise you on your child’s safe return.

Please don't forget

At this time of year the weather can be extremely changeable so we recommend the following:

  • Old clothing and spare clothing as your child will get messy and dirty. E.g. playdough, paint, sand, water and mud 😊
  • Wellies for outside play
  • Warm Clothing if necessary (our outside access is available all day long and doors are open all day long).
  • Sun cream applied before attendance
  • Sunhats if necessary
  • A named water bottle.
